MedibandPlus FAQ

MedibandPlus recommends the following example text to direct first-responders to your medibandPlus emergency records: "ICE enter my medibandPlus code at www.medibp.com" OR: "ICE Medical Hx YOUR CODE at medibp.com"

QR codes are now provided in your login admin to print out and attach to cards, seat belts and pther devices that can be scanned by first responders in an emergency. They are also available to engrave onto mediband products with our proprietry laser engraver. All you then need to do is point your phone camera, scan the QR code and your medibandPlus medical details will appear (requires internet access on your phone or smart device).

For custom orders, ensure you select YES for MedibandPlus option on the product order page. We'll take care of the rest for you!

A few examples of individuals who are good candidates for utilizing the MedibandPlus are: Anyone with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions, neurological disorders, memory impairment or communication difficulty. Persons who have complicated medical conditions, multiple allergies or medications too numerous to list on the limited space of a medical ID. Individuals whose medical information is subject to change from time to time. Frequent travelers. Those who prefer not to (or refuse to) wear a medical ID bracelet or necklace. Anyone who might have difficulty explaining their medical condition whenever medical personnel or family members, who would normally speak for them, are not present or available. Those seeking a place to keep important information and documents which can be easily viewed in an emergency.

Wearing any form of medical ID is an excellent means of conveying important medical facts and is still the best way to communicate your most critical health information to caregivers in an emergency. Maintaining a membership on MedibandPlus is a superb complement to wearing an ID. It allows for more in-depth descriptions of medical information, complete lists of medications or allergies, multiple emergency contacts, phone numbers, key document storage, etc.

Anyone who has your personal membership number will be able to view your selected emergency details online. Only with your private password can your file be changed in any way.

The main value of setting up an MedibandPlus membership file is to have your important medical information easily accessible at a time when you are unable to communicate your conditions. So it is advisable to make your access code easy to locate--preferably on a highly visible medical ID bracelet or necklace. With this in mind, you can choose the security level of each information field from public, hospitals only, to private. Highly confidential, potentially embarrassing or other information you do not wish to be revealed under any circumstance should be marked as private on your file. The best use of your file in these cases is to instruct the viewer who to contact, or where to go in order to obtain the sensitive documents or information.

A family membership is for 5 persons; 2 adults and up to 3 children.

You can generate a new membership number on the Lost Band? page of the member area. You can then have a new Mediband or wallet card printed.
