How it works
How your MedibandPlus medical ID works
Your online medical ID works in one pass: you fill in your medical details once. If you are ever found unconscious or unable to speak for yourself, a responder reads them in seconds from the membership number you carry.
Set up once. Ready in the moment that matters.
Three steps to a profile that speaks for you when you can’t.
Create your profile
Add your conditions, medications, allergies, emergency contacts and any care instructions a responder should know. You can change any of it at any time.
Carry your membership number
Your profile gets a membership number. Have it engraved on a Mediband wristband, or carry it on a wallet card — that number is the key to your record.
A responder looks you up
Ambulance, hospital or a bystander enters your number at medibp.com on any phone. No app, no login. They see exactly what you chose to share — nothing more.
What a responder sees. Sample data — never a real member.
What happens at the scene
Someone reading your band is working fast, on a strange phone, often one-handed. The lookup is built for that.
The critical things first
Allergies, conditions and medications sit at the top of the page, before anything else. Anything you have flagged as critical is marked in red.
Contacts they can call
Your emergency contacts appear with their phone numbers as tap-to-call links, so a responder reaches your next of kin without typing anything.
No app, no login
The lookup runs in any phone browser. A responder only needs your membership number — there is nothing to install and no account to create.
In an emergency, call 000 first. MedibandPlus is there to inform the people treating you — it is never a substitute for calling an ambulance. Once help is on the way, your record can be read at the profile lookup or medibp.com.
You decide what a stranger can see
Nothing in your record is public until you say so. The controls live in your dashboard and take effect immediately.
- Show all, hide all, or choose field by field. One setting covers the whole record, or you can go through it a field at a time and decide individually.
- Get told when your profile is opened. Switch on the alert and we email you each time someone looks your record up.
- Choose which contacts are told too. Each emergency contact has its own setting, so you can notify your partner but not your workplace.
- Change your mind whenever you like. Update your details or tighten what is shared from your dashboard at any time.
What goes on your band
A band has room for very little, so it only has to do two things: tell a responder a record exists, and tell them where to read it.
Most members have something like ICE Medical Hx YOUR CODE at medibp.com engraved. ICE means in case of emergency and Hx is clinical shorthand for history — both are conventions ambulance crews already look for.
